Most cars come from the factory with tinted glass, with a typical visual light transmission (VLT) of 15-26%.

The darkness of legal tint varies by state and depends on the percentage of visible light transmission (VLT) allowed. Check your state’s laws or visit tintinglaws.com for more information.

After Installation

Yes, you can wash your car after tinting. Since the tint is on the inside of your car, it shouldn’t be affected. However, make sure no water gets inside your car and clean your windows on the inside with ammonia-free glass cleaner.

No, rain does not affect new tint. Tint is on the inside of your windows and, if you keep your windows closed until cured (about 4-7 days), there should not be any problems.

Yes, you should wait to roll your windows down to avoid harming the tint. While four days is usually long enough to wait, you might want to wait a week to be on the safe side.

Yes, it’s normal to have bubbles in the window tint for a few hours after installation. However, the window tint is not installed correctly if the bubbles remain after a week or two.

Maintenance & Care

Monitor your tint for imperfections, avoid abrasive cleaners, use soft cloths when cleaning, and remove bubbles and creases as soon as you see them forming.

Use an ammonia-free cleaner and soft microfiber cloths when cleaning tinted windows to avoid damaging the film.
